INDIANAPOLIS – Heading into Election Day, one of the most competitive races on Indiana ballots in 2020 has been labeled a toss up.
The Cook Political Report, an independent, non-partisan election analysis newsletter, has labeled the race for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District a toss up.
The race features Democratic candidate Christina Hale against Republican Victoria Spartz vying to be the new Congressperson. The current seat holder, Republican Susan Brooks, is retiring from Congress.
The seat has been held by Republicans since 2002, the last time the districts were redrawn.
New @CookPolitical: our FINAL House outlook is a Dem net gain of 10-15 seats, with anything from 5-20 seats well within the range of possibility. View our final ratings: https://t.co/wcfAZ8REga
