Where 5th District election money is coming from

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana’s 5th Congressional District is one of the most competitive races in the 2020 election. Indiana Democrats believe this is the year they can flip it and take control of the seat.

More than $5.5 million has been raised in the race, which is more than any other district in the state. Democratic candidate Christina Hale has raised $3.1 million, while her Republican competitor Victoria Spartz has raised $2.3 million.

The district stretches from the top part of Marion County, Hamilton County, and stretches up to Grant County.

About 14% of Hale's contributions came from small individual donations of less than $200, while 9% of Spartz's were from that category.
