PORTER COUNTY, Ind. -- Thanks to quick work from first responders, seven dogs were saved from a house fire Tuesday in Porter County, Indiana.

The fire was found at about 4 p.m., in the 500 block of 500 S. 500 West in Porter County.

The first responders on the scene entered the smoke-filled house and removed seven unconscious dogs, two of which were pregnant.

The first responders started performing CPR on the dogs, opening their airways to blow air into their lungs. They used "pet masks" to provide oxygen to the dogs.

All the dogs survived the incident. They are all labradors, as the owner is a local breeder.

This is the third time in 10 years the pet masks were used. They were donated by a local citizen.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire.
