FORT WAYNE — Ball State freshman Christian Dixie won thousands of dollars as the university’s first-ever “Wheel of Fortune” contestant. But he also brought his positivity to the internet.
A day after Dixie’s dominating performance on the game show, headlines across the internet read, “‘Wheel of Fortune’ Contestant Becomes a “Beacon of Positivity” for Viewers Quarantined at Home” and “’Wheel of Fortune' contestant becomes 'beacon of hope' amid coronavirus concerns.”
The Fort Wayne native said he’s been a fan of the show since he was 9 months old.
Heading into the bonus round, host Pat Sajak asked him, “Should be bother with the puzzle or do you want to just solve it?”
He solved it in … about one second, winning $37,000 and bringing his total to more than $60,000.
Take a look at his performance in the videos below.
