INDIANAPOLIS -- Laura Green had never heard her children’s voices. Now that she can – she says she’ll never need another Christmas gift again.

The 30-year-old mother of three has been severely hearing-impaired since birth.

Earlier this year, her mother nominated her to receive a set of new hearing aids valued at $5,000 from the Whisper Hearing Centers’ annual Hear for the Holidays event.

Out of 500 applicants, Green was one of just two selected.

RTV6 was invited along to watch Green hear her 9-year-old daughter Harmony’s voice for the first time. Watch along in the video player.
