ZIONSVILLE — A data science company that develops artificial intelligence products and solutions announced plans Thursday to create up to 37 high-wage jobs by the end of 2024.
Vertex Intelligence will invest nearly $270,000 to expand its operations and services, a news release from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation said. The company is looking to hire people for machine learning, sales and operations roles.
The company leases space at zWORKS coworking center and is looking at future locations in Zionsville.
“Indiana has a strong and highly diversified economy filled with the types of companies that stand to benefit the most from AI technology and who recognize the value of innovation," CEO Tyler Foxworthy said.
Vertex Intelligence, which Foxworthy founded in 2018, has worked with the U.S. Department of Defense and local medical device quality management software company Greenlight Guru to design, build and ship AI products and solutions. Custom algorithm development, data and AI strategy, statistical modeling and cloud-based data analysis solutions are some of the services the company provides.
The IEDC offered Vertex Intelligence up to $650,000 in conditional tax credits and $50,000 in conditional training grants. The tax credits are performance-based, meaning the company can claim them once jobs are filled.
