INDIANAPOLIS — There is a place where students unleash their love of pets as they prepare to go to college or right to work.

Josh Nixon and Chanler Robinson are college bound and believe their experience in Advanced Life Science in Animals and Veterinary Assisting program in Washington Township will allow them to excel against their future classmates.

The world of animal science and how to care for animals are the focus and what's learned here can be used in the workforce and at home.

"I have two very large dogs at home," Nixon said. "I do regular small check-ups to make sure they are in good health."

"Anyone can be taught how to hold a dog properly, or how to give a bath, or how to trim their nails, how to deal or interact with other people is a skill you can't teach easily," an instructor in the Advanced Life Science program said. 'So having skills available to them will make them successful as students, as team members, employers in the future."
