HANCOCK COUNTY — They've been sprouting up like corn in July. Those huge distribution buildings that dot the landscape in all directions along the interstates in and near Indianapolis.
Now, plans for another one have been announced. It's Building Two at the Mount Comfort Logistics Center in Hancock County. There are also plans for two additional buildings there.
Work on Building One is well along and will house an Amazon distribution center with around 800 employees. A tenant for Building Two has not been announced. The developer is Ambrose Property Group.
"We are excited about this next phase of growth at Mount Comfort Logistics Center,” said Scott Sanders, vice president of development for Ambrose. “The tenant in the first building will bring 800 jobs of varying levels to Hancock County, and with this second building now underway, we expect to see continued job growth that will create ripple effects throughout the Mount Comfort community.”
Building Two is scheduled for completion in January of next year.

The Mount Comfort Logistics Center is located on the north side of West County Road 300N and west of North County Road 400W.
