INDIANAPOLIS — UPS is looking to hire more than 750 seasonal employees in Indianapolis and Plainfield due to the increase of shipments through January 2021.
The company is looking to hire people to drive tractor-trailers and package cars, driver helpers, and package handlers.
The following facilities in central Indiana are hiring seasonal employees:
- 700 W. 16th Street in Indianapolis
- 10095 Bradford Place in Plainfield
- 5431 W. 81st St. in Indianapolis
- 7160 E. 86th St. in Indianapolis
Eligible seasonal employees can earn up to $1,300 towards college expenses for three months of continuous employment, according to a press release from the company.
About 35% of seasonal employees over the last three years were later hired in a permanent position, according to the company. Permanent full-time and part-time employees are eligible for healthcare and retirement benefits and up to $25,000 in tuition assistance.
In September, UPS announced it was going to hire 1,500 employees in Indianapolis.
