LOUISVILLE, KY — Joella's Hot Chicken is seeking to fill dozens of job openings for its new location on the Carmel and Westfield border, at the Cool Creek Commons shopping complex.
The Louisville, Kentucky-based restaurant announced in January it would be adding a fourth central Indiana location near 146th Street and Carey Road. On Wednesday, Joella's announced its latest restaurant would be opening in August, joining two other Indy locations and one in Bloomington.
“At a time when many people in the hospitality industry have lost their jobs due to the pandemic, Joella’s is proud to be able to offer this opportunity for employment here in Central Indiana,” Christina Happel, regional vice president of operations for Joella’s Hot Chicken, said. “We pride ourselves on Southern Hospitality and premium hot chicken, and we need excited, dedicated workers to help us introduce our brand to new fans in the Carmel, Westfield area.”
Joella's is seeking 40 full and part-time positions. The roles include managers, cooks, cashiers, guest ambassadors, dining room attendants and dishwashers. New employees can earn up to $13.00 an hour with advancement opportunities, food, and beverage discounts and the potential for cash tips.
Interviews will be conducted at the 96th Street location, 4715 East 96th Street, during the hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day beginning Saturday. Applicants will need to bring a valid ID and Social Security card, wear a mask, and practice social distancing while waiting to be interviewed. Training for new hires is tentatively set to begin August 3.
The Carmel and Westfield location is Joella's 17th restaurant.
