INDIANAPOLIS — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is on the lookout to add more special agents to their Indianapolis office.
The Bureau is hosting a 'Diversity Agent Recruitment,' or DAR, event in the Circle City from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.
The FBI is seeking to increase awareness of special agent opportunities for those who may not have considered applying to the agency in the past, but have an interest.
According to the Bureau, the agency's goal is to have a team that represents the community they serve.
"Many believe they need a law enforcement or military background to be a special agent, and that is just not the case!" The FBI's announcement read. "Former teachers, accountants, engineers, attorneys, salespeople, etc. have applied in the past or are currently in the application process."
A typical DAR event includes:
- Networking with Special Agents from a variety of squads
- Networking with Special Agents from a variety of squads
- An informational session on Physical Fitness Test
- A Q&A panel with Special Agents
To attend the event, applicants must apply at www.fbijobs.gov.
Applicants who meet the requirements will receive an email invitation to the DAR event with additional information, such as the location.
