INDIANAPOLIS — If it blings, Sherry Miles has it in her collection. She's behind 'Rhinestone Reflections.'
"I do this all on my own, and no one does it for me," Miles said.
Despite working a corporate job, Miles is also operating Rhinestone Reflection. She also works to hire others.
"I hire individuals who have the same passion that I do, also college interns," Miles said. "Students who are interested in design work and entrepreneurship."
Miles was among 135 vendors participating in 'SHE,' which stands for: "She Has Everything." It's an event focused on helping women build their brand and make a profit.
This marketplace for entrepreneurs allows people to sell their products, whether its, fashion, the arts, or wines.
"The same way that business created that job you can do it yourself," Katina Washington, the founder of SHE events, said.
"You can't depend on your 9 to 5," Washington said. "You have to have another business in mind. That you take what you love to do and monetize it."
By moving the event to the Lafayette Square Mall, the SHE event had more space for their vendors to sell products and share their dream.
SHE organizers also handed out $100 to ten kids who set up a business at the event.
The next SHE event will be held at Lafayette Square Mall on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
