INDIANAPOLIS — WRTV told viewers last month that UPS was looking to fill 1,500 seasonal roles in the Indianapolis-area.
On Friday, the company is seeking to accelerate that process with a one-day hiring blitz its calling "UPS Brown Friday." It's an annual event where the company hosts 250 hiring fairs across the country ahead of the holiday season.
Since posting the available seasonal positions in September, UPS is still seeking to fill around 1,500 temporary jobs in the area. Positions include driver helpers, package handlers, and seasonal drivers.
The local UPS Brown Friday hiring fairs are happening in Indianapolis and Plainfield on Thursday and Friday, two of which are virtual.
