It's National Go Topless Day! Will you?

Today, people around the world are celebrating (or depending on local law, protesting for) the right for women to go topless in public.

Go Topless Day and its host organization, GoTopless.org, were founded in 2007, on the principle that women have the same constitutional right that men do to go bare-chested in public.

The day always falls on the Sunday closest to Women’s Equality Day, August 26. This year, that day is August 24.

There are several locations in the United States and around the world holding celebrations on August 24 this year. For a list of cities around the world holding Go Topless events, check out this map
