Korean Air Lines executive resigns over bagged nut dispute

An executive at Korean Air Lines has resigned over nuts.

The airline was criticized after Heather Cho (also Cho Hyun-ah), executive vice president of cabin service, delayed a flight from New York City to South Korea last Friday.

Cho had been served nuts in the bag, rather than on a plate, as is customary in first class, the Associated Press reports. She ordered the flight attendant off the plane, requiring it to return to the gate.

Cho was flying as a passenger, not as an airline official, CNN reports.

Her father is chairman of the airline.
