10-year-old shot: Police, family seek answers

Two days after a 10-year-old was shot and killed, police, neighbors and family continued searching for answers.

The shooting happened on the north side Saturday night on the 3900 block of Graceland Avenue. A 4-year-old and two adults were also shot, but survived.

Family members were gathered at a home for a memorial service when a car drove up and someone opened fire.

"There has to be outrage," said Rev. Charles Harrison, of the Ten Point Coalition. "We cannot accept this as a city. We cannot accept this kind of violence. There ought to be outrage from city hall to everyplace in this city."

Police said they suspect a possible turf war for control of the drug trade is to blame for the shooting. It's the third homicide in the area in the past two months.
