NOBLESVILLE — Three dogs and two cats perished in a blaze that destroyed a Noblesville house on Monday but all the residents were able to escape without injury, firefighters said.
According to a report from the Noblesville Fire Department, firefighters were called at 6:48 p.m. Monday to the 9900 block of Waterside Drive on report of a house fire. The call was upgraded to include possible entrapment two minutes later.
Firefighters said all residents have been safely accounted for, however three dogs and two cats perished in the fire. There were no injuries to the residents or firefighters.
The first units on the scene were met by heavy flames, firefighters said.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
