INDIANAPOLIS – In Indy you’ll find several green spaces, pocket parks and state parks – perfect places to set up shop and have your own picnic.
Most parks have public barbecue grills and picnic tables, so all you’ll need is your favorite lawn chair and blanket.
Here are Indy’s six best places to have a picnic:
White River State Park - 801 W. Washington Street
This park is located right in the heart of downtown Indy, so you get the best of both worlds – city life and a sweet escape. You’ll have the chance to try out the paddle boats on the downtown canal or rent a Segway to explore the park.
