PENDLETON — A 19-year-old Anderson was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Pendleton on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Madison County Sheriff's Office, a passerby reported the crash in the 5000 block of Fall Creek Drive, southwest of Pendleton, shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies said a gray Honda two-door was traveling east on Fall Creek Drive when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete post. Deputies said the vehicle came to rest on its top.
The driver, a 19-year-old man from Anderson, was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's crash team and the Madison County Coroner's Office.
