INDIANAPOLIS — These are difficult times for the Scotty's Brewhouse chain.
Seven of its 17 locations have closed or are about to.
The latest is on Southport Road near I 65 on the Indianapolis south side.
“Regretfully, the owner of the managed Scotty’s Brewhouse location on Southport Road made the unfortunate decision to permanently close immediately," according to a statement from a public relations company representing Scotty's. "This was not a decision of Scotty’s Brewhouse corporate, and we will do all we can to assist the affected employees."
Earlier this week, Scotty's announced the closing of its East 96th Street location this Sunday.
"As we stated yesterday, as part of the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, we continue to conduct due diligence with the intention of minimizing any further retraction," according to the statement from Scotty's.
