INDIANAPOLIS — One of the latest planned apartments in downtown Indianapolis will be on the former Harrison College site.

Developer Milhaus plans to have a 175 unit building at 550 East Washington Street done by 2021, according to Brad Vogelsmeier, the company's director of development.

The site was the parking lot for Harrison College, which shut down last year.

The building that housed the school remains and is owned by Milhaus which will market it toward commercial tenants.

The apartments will be called The Grid and will include a parking garage, plus scooter and bike parking.

Units will range from studios with built-in furniture to one and two bedroom apartments.

The Grid is the latest apartment development on the east side of downtown and is just down the block from Artistry Apartments, another Milhaus property.
