COLUMBUS, Ind. -- An arrest has been made in connection with a fatal crash in Bartholomew County last January.
The crash happened on Jan. 27 at Jonathan Moore Pike and Johnson Boulevard near I-65 in Columbus.
A tow truck and several vehicles were involved.
Patrick Neal Bowman, 35, of Columbus, died from blunt trauma to the chest, according to the Bartholomew County Coroner.
According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff, Ruel Pedigo III was arrested Thursday on preliminary charges of reckless homicide, causing death while operating a motor vehicle with a controlled substance in the blood, and causing serious bodily injury when operating a motor vehicle with a controlled substance in the blood.
Pedigo posted bond of $40,000 on Thursday, according to the sheriff.
