Behind the scenes at the CMAs with Rory Feek

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The biggest names in country music, past and present will be in Nashville this week for the 50th annual Country Music Awards. 

Dave O'Brien sat down with CMA nominee Rory Feek for a behind the scenes interview with the man close to Hoosier hearts to discuss life, his daughter Indiana and his CMA nomination. 

Feek was part of a country singing duo his late wife,Joey, who was born in Alexandria, Indiana.

Joey was diagnosed in May 2014 with cervical cancer, just a few months after the birth of their daughter, Indiana. The cancer was removed with surgery, but it returned a few months later. She passed away in March.

Throughout their journey with cancer and even after his wife's death, Rory Feek kept a blog detailing their daily lives and struggles with the disease. The duo won the hearts of millions across the world with their love story and words of hope.

Joey + Rory have been nominated for vocal duo of the year at this year's CMAs.

The 50th annual Country Music Awards are Wednesday, November 2, at Bridgestone arena in Nashville.
