Guyton was a 2011 graduate of Bishop Chatard who had just joined the school's staff this year.
On Monday, a prayer service was held for Guyton at the school's gymnasium.
His mother Kathy O'Neil was in attendance.
"He was my gift from God," O'Neil said.
Guyton's final project was the spring play. On Monday, students decided the show must go on. Their performance of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" will go ahead as scheduled.
