UPDATE: According to Indiana Conservation officers, the body has been identified as Terrance Williams, of Indianapolis. Williams has been missing since May 25 when he was last observed floating alongside his capsized canoe in the White River north of 16th Street near the Lake Indy boat ramp. The cause of death has been preliminarily ruled to be drowning.
MORGAN COUNTY — Authorities in Morgan County are working to identify a body found Sunday morning in the White River.
Emergency personnel were called around 10:45 a.m. after a person walking spotted what they thought was a body in the White River near the State Rad 144 bridge, according to a press release from Indiana Conservation officers.
The body was not immediately identified, according to the release.
The Morgan County Coroner's Office and Morgan County Sheriff's Department are working with conservation officers in the on-going investigation.
