BOONE COUNTY, Ind. -- The death of an infant is under investigation in Boone County.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the 3900 block of E. State Road in Lebanon Monday evening for a child in cardiac arrest.
When emergency personnel arrived they found the infant unresponsive and began performing CPR. The infant was transported to Witham Memorial Hospital and pronounced deceased.
Investigators say the death remains under investigation but it does not appear suspicious at this time.
