ZIONSVILLE — Good news for the canine population of Zionsville and their humans.
The Boone County community is getting a dog park, according to Mayor Emily Styron. It will be located on 3.5 acres at Heritage Trail Park. The park will have two parts, one for larger dogs and the other for smaller breeds.
"The public health emergency has reminded us of the importance of our outdoor spaces, whether it be for humans or our four-legged friends," said Styron. "This has been an important goal of mine and it will further strengthen out incredible parks system and the amenities we officer."
The park will have benches, shade areas, pet waste stations and a water fountain with dog bowl attachments.
