MORGAN COUNTY — Drivers are being urged to be extra cautious on State Road 37 north of Martinsville.

That's part of the 30-mile segment of road that's being rebuilt into what will complete Interstate-69 in Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says trucks are scheduled to deliver large bridge beams Wednesday afternoon to the outside shoulder near Henderson Ford Road. Two nights of lane closures and 20-minute rolling stops between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. will allow cranes to lift the beams in place over the highway.

Construction of the Henderson Ford Road bridge is the first piece of a future interchange that will allow traffic to enter and exit I-69 in northeast Morgan County.

The entire project between Martinsville and Interstae-465 in Indianapolis is expected to be done in four years. At that time, I-69 will stretch from the Michigan line in northeast Indiana to Evansville.
