INDIANAPOLIS — Butler Blue's handler, Michael Kaltenmark, says he is in need of a new kidney.

Over the last year, Kaltenmark's kidney function has declined, he said in a tweet Saturday morning.

"I go on the kidney transplant list in the next week or so and my wait could be 4-7 years, but I'm told that I probably don't have that long," Kaltenmark said. "So I'm on a quest to find a living donor."

He is asking those who are interested to visit IU Health's transplant website.

You can read his full statement in the tweet here.
