INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man was lucky to be alive Monday night after a truck went through his home on the city's southwest side.
Investigators said a woman was driving on Alden Avenue, just south of Kentucky Avenue, when she lost control of her vehicle and ran into a pickup truck.
The force of the collision drove the truck into a house – just inches away from where William Griffith's father was sitting on the couch.
"If he'd have been on the other end of the couch he'd have been in bad shape," Griffith said. "It's just like a bomb went off in there."
The driver of the vehicle was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
