FLORA, Ind. -- The Carroll County sheriff’s deputy who was injured while trying to save four sisters from a house fire Monday morning wrote a note to a Flora police officer who was also injured during the incident.

Deputy Drew Yoder wrote officer Josh Disinger a note that read, "u saved my life Josh."

Yoder was airlifted to a burn center where he was hooked up to a ventilator because of issues with his lungs.

The fire resulted in the death of the four girls:  Keyana, 11, Keyara, 8, Kerrielle, 7, and Kionne, 5.

Investigators brought in K-9 units to search the home for accelerants and foul play was not suspected.
