FRANKLIN, Ind. -- A man considered a person of interest in the Delphi murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German is back in Indiana to answer to unrelated felony charges.

Daniel Nations waived his extradition rights in Colorado in January after a felony warrant for failing to register as a sexual violent offender was issued from Johnson County, Indiana. Those charges are not related to the Delphi investigation.

Nations arrived at the Johnson County Jail as of Sunday morning, according to Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox.  He's expected to appear in court in Johnson County on March 28.

According to Johnson County Deputy Prosecutor Carrie Miles, Nations was transported to Johnson County on a warrant that was active in Sept. 2017. He could bond out of the Johnson County jail for $300 but then he would end up in different facility because he's also wanted by the City of Greenwood, Marion County and Bartholomew County.

Nations was in court in Colorado in January, also on unrelated charges to the Delphi investigation, about providing false information to law enforcement. He was going to be released on his own recognizance, but then the sheriff's office found a warrant from Johnson County.

Nations was arrested in September 2017 following reports that he was threatening hikers with a hatchet on a Colorado trail.

Besides possible similarities in his appearance to the police sketch of the Delphi killer, a number of other coincidences drew investigators toward Nations. He is a registered sex offender, was driving with expired Indiana plates when he was arrested in Colorado and he was living in Indiana at the time Libby and Abby were murdered.
