INDIANAPOLIS — The coronavirus has put the brakes on many holiday traditions this year, but not the mysterious return of the bronze cherub on the Ayres Clock downtown Indianapolis.
The cherub is set to return the night before Thanksgiving, just as it has for more than 70 years. But, in the meantime, the clock has been undergoing restoration and the cherub buffed.
When the cherub returns, it will be shinier and cleaner than ever. Be sure to look up when you're downtown at the intersection of Washington and Meridian to see the Indianapolis icon.
