INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead following a shooting in downtown Indianapolis Friday night.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of East Washington Street shortly after 10:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition but was later pronounced deceased.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
