Man dies in northeast Indy shooting

INDIANAPOLIS — One person has died following a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis Friday night.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 1700 block of E 34th Street on reports of a person shot just after 10:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was originally reported to be in critical condition but later died.

Detectives said an arrest has been made, however they have released no information on the suspect at this time.
