FRANKLIN — One person is dead after a shooting Saturday evening in Franklin.
Franklin Police Department chief Kirby Cochran said an 18-year-old man died in the shooting that happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Hurricane Street near the Boys and Girls Club of Johnson County. Cochran said the victim had several gunshot wounds.
On Sunday morning, police said they are looking for a red 2013 Dodge Dart in connection with the shooting.

Police have not released the identities of any possible suspects.
Cochran said police do not believe there is any public danger related to the shooting.
There was still an active crime scene in the area of the shooting on Sunday morning.

Anyone who recognizes the vehicle is asked to contact the non-emergency number of the Johnson County 911 Center at 317-346-6336, while people with any other information about the shooting should call 317-346-1100.
