INDIANAPOLIS — A man was found shot and killed inside a vehicle following a shooting Thursday afternoon on the northeast side of Indianapolis, police said.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 3900 block of North Butler Avenue around 2:30 p.m. They found a man inside a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds who was pronounced deceased.
Detectives believe the man, identified as 18-year-old DuVoin Love, was the driver of the vehicle, IMPD Officer Samone Burris said.
Police have not released information about a possible suspect.
"Whatever information that you have to help us solve this case is very important," Burris said. "We are leaning on our community in this moment."
