1 killed in shooting on Indy’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS — A person was killed in a shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis on Wednesday night.

IMPD officers responded to the 2600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. on reports of a person shot just before 9 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot injury.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition and later died.

Detectives have a person of interest that they are looking into but no one in custody yet.
