17-year-old arrested after 2 people found shot to death in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE — Lafayette police arrested a 17-year-old suspect after two people died in a shooting Monday night.

According to information from the Lafayette Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of North 16th Street around 11:15 a.m.

When they arrived, police found two male victims in the roadway who had been shot to death. Their identities have not been released.

Officers arrested a 17-year-old girl at the scene on preliminary charges of robbery and murder, according to Lafayette police.
