WAVERLY— Two men were killed and a third was injured Thursday morning in a triple-shooting outside a gas station in Waverly near the Morgan-Johnson county line, according to police.

Bargersville police officers responded just after 5 a.m. to a report of multiple people shot at the Circle K gas station in the 9400 block of State Road 144, near the intersection with State Road 37, Bargersville Police Department public information officer Jeremy Roll said.

Officers found two men dead at the scene and medics transported a third victim to the hospital in serious condition. Roll said Ethan Bell, 20, of Indianapolis, and a 17-year-old boy were killed.

On Wednesday, Bargersville police asked for assistance locating someone, who is not a suspect, but may have been near the gas station at the time of the incident.

They were found near the gas pumps at the station. “It is tragic, and the victim notification on this day is going to be terrible," Roll said.

Information about what led to the shootings is not yet available, although it did not appear to involve any sort of robbery to the business.

Anyone with information should contact the Johnson County Dispatch Office at 317-736-5155.

Editor's Note: A previous version of this story said detectives were looking for a person of interest. That information was removed after police and the Johnson County Prosecutor's Office later said the person of interest was interviewed and isn't facing any charges at this time.
