INDIANAPOLIS — Two women were shot on the east side of Indianapolis on Saturday night.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a report of a person shot at East 10th Street and North Rural Street just after 8 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult female victims suffering from gunshot injuries.
One victim was reported to be in stable condition. The second victim was originally reported to be in critical condition but has now been upgraded to stable.
According to IMPD, the women were traveling between Sherman and Rural on 10th Street when their car was struck by gunfire. They stopped at a gas station in the area shortly after and called for help.
