INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis on Monday evening.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 4200 block of East Washington Street on reports of a person shot at 6:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located two adults, a male and a female, suffering from gunshot injuries. They were both transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The man was later pronounced deceased.
IMPD said they detained individuals on the scene but they have since been released.
