SPEEDWAY — A double shooting in Speedway in June 2023 turned fatal in August 2024.
Officers were called to the 2200 block of White Oaks Drive around 11 a.m. on June 19,2023. These are the apartments directly south of Speedway High School.
In August 2024, Michael Joyner, 26, died as a result of this shooting.
James Hickenbottom was sentenced to six years in prison for aggravated battery in connection to this case.
