MONROE COUNTY — A 43-year-old man was shot and killed in southeastern Monroe County early Thursday morning.
According to Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields, Monroe County Sheriff's office deputies were called to a home in the 3400 block of Knightridge Road just before 1 a.m.
Arriving deputies located a man suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. That victim was identified as James Michael Troxal. An autopsy has been scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday.
Investigators believe Troxal's murder was a homicide. No arrests have been made at this time.
