Already convicted, drug and guns suspect arrested again

INDIANAPOLIS — 45-year-old Clifton Withers was already serving a sentence for selling cocaine. Now, he faces additional drug and gun charges.

This week, local and federal law officers, part of the Indianapolis Crime Gun Intelligence Center task force, arrested Withers on the city's west side for armed narcotics trafficking.

He was already serving a sentence in Marion County Community Corrections for dealing cocaine.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, task force members armed with a search warrant went to a storage unit Withers maintained. They found drugs, drug-making equipment and a small arsenal of guns.

Officers seized 300 grams of suspected heroin, suspected ecstacy pills, seven long guns. two handguns, a Taser, digital scales, cutting agent and a narcotics press.

Task force members then went to Withers's home and arrested him. At the home they found another gun, nearly $11,000 cash, more heroin and another digital scale.
