ANDERSON — The man accused of shooting his pregnant girlfriend is charged in her shooting and the deaths of the twins she was carrying.

Skye'Lar White is accused of shooting his girlfriend, Alexis Wasson, in the head in the early morning hours of Aug. 2 and not seeking immediate medical attention. According to court documents, White told his mother it was 'an accident.'

Wasson was pregnant and 21-weeks along with twin boys at the time she was shot. It has still not been determined whether White was the father of the twins Wasson was carrying.

The first unborn twin died Tuesday. The second unborn twin died Wednesday afternoon.

Wasson has remained on life-support at the hospital since the shooting, although Anderson Police Chief Tony Watters says doctors have determined that she has no brain activity.

Watters said feticide charges will be filed Thursday against Skye’lar White, who allegedly shot Wasson in the head last Friday.
