ANDERSON — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed Saturday night in Anderson.
Anderson Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 10 p.m. to an alleyway near the 400 block of West 7th Street, near West 7th and Lincoln streets, on the report of a person shot, APD Maj. Joel Sandefur said. When they arrived, they located a man who was shot in the chest.
Thomas Ogle, 38, of Anderson, was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Anderson where he later died, Sandefur said.
Investigators have not made any arrests in the homicide case, Sandefur said. They have spoken to a person of interest and several witnesses.
The incident is still under investigation.
