ANDERSON — Anderson police are investigating after a woman was fatally shot Sunday night.
Anderson Police Department officers were called just before 8:30 p.m. to the 1400 block of Forkner Street where they found a victim with gunshot wounds, Anderson Police Department Major Joel P. Sandefur said in a news release.
Officers interviewed several witnesses, but no arrests have been made. Sandefur said police are following up on investigative leads that have developed.
The woman's identity has not been released.
