ANDERSON — Anderson police are searching for a man who robbed a PNC Bank Thursday morning.

Around 10:34 a.m., a man walked into the bank, near North Broadway and Cross streets, with a plastic bag and demanded cash, Anderson Police Department Maj. Joel Sandefur said in a press release. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and went east on Cross Street.

The suspect, described as a Black man, 6 feet tall and in his late 20s or early 30s, was wearing a dark-colored hoodie, sunglasses, a surgical type mask, dark-colored pants, and gloves, Sandefur said.

No injuries were reported and the man didn't display a weapon, Sandefur said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 765-648-6775 or Crime Stoppers at 765-649-8310.
