ANDERSON — A 24-year-old man was shot and wounded by an Anderson police officer early Wednesday.
Police say Jonathan Ashley pointed a gun at officers who had gone to an apartment south of downtown to arrest him.
Ashley was hit once in the arm and was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis where he was treated and released.
Ashley was wanted for dealing drugs.
Police say other people in the apartment at the time were not hurt.
